Although Republicans are still favored to win, Democrats are talking about two Florida districts they haven't talked about in years: GOP Rep. Vern Buchanan's 16th CD in Sarasota and GOP Rep. Ron DeSantis's open 6th CD in Daytona Beach. Thanks to the national environment, they also may have a sliver of hope in retiring GOP Rep. Dennis Ross's 15th CD. Florida's primary is on August 28.

FL-06: OPEN (DeSantis) (R) - Northeast: Daytona Beach, Deltona Likely Republican. Even with GOP Rep. Ron DeSantis running for governor, this Daytona Beach seat is a long shot for Democrats at best. It's a working class retirement haven that voted for President Trump 57 percent to 40 percent in 2016. Still, it's got some blue DNA, and the likely Democratic nominee, Clinton administration veteran Nancy Soderberg, has raised almost $1.5 million.
