ColoradoCO-01: Diana DeGette (D) - Central: Denver Solid Democratic. This prohibitively blue Denver district got a whole lot more interesting in February when former state House Speaker Crisanta Duran launched a challenge DeGette in next June's primary rather than run for Senate. Duran, 39, is roughly the same age DeGette was when she was first elected in 1996, and after Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley toppled longtime incumbents in 2018, it's a race to take seriously.
DeGette has chaired the pro-choice caucus and compiled a reliably liberal voting record, so it's hard to see how Duran will run to her left. But so far, Duran is emphasizing generational change and congressional
