1. Trump had a great night. While I am still quite sure that Donald Trump will not be the Republican nominee; unlike in the Iowa Caucus, he did turn in an impressive performance and got his voters out. Aside from calling his opponents foul, even obscene names, he is becoming a better candidate than we saw at the beginning of the race. But, I still see Trump as more of a protest candidate, a vehicle for the angry, anti-establishment mood among many Republicans, rather than someone who many Republicans will see as a realistic president. It should be remembered that Trump's 34 percent New Hampshire performance means that 66 percent of Republicans did not vote for him; while presumably, all Republicans know and are familiar with him. Many of those 66 percent who preferred other candidates may like much of what he says and the way he says it, they like the toughness and candor that he represents, but they still don't see him in the White House Situation Room.
