Even though it's early, we are taking a look at members who might face competitive primary challengers next year. Obviously, we're most focused on the members who will face competitive general elections and whose seats could determine control of the house, but we also take a look at the members who are vulnerable to primary challengers.Many of these members are in safe seats, so they may not face competitive general elections, but they may face pressure from within their party to move to the extremes of their party more so.And so oftentimes, ideological reasons drive why members face these primary challengers, but there's other reasons as well.
