Hey, guys. This is Matthew Klein with the Cook Political Report, and, I'm here to break down what happened in New Jersey this week. We finally got some actual election results, in the two primaries to decide who is going to, succeed, term limited governor Phil Murphy. The big act or most of the action was on the Democratic side, and that was a six way race that had basically all different elements of the Democratic party represented, in in various candidates.

The most progressive, candidates were Ross Baraka, the mayor of Newark, and, Jersey City mayor Stephen Philip. But, ultimately, the winner was Mikey Sherrill, who was a United States congresswoman from Northern New Jersey.
