Jessica Taylor. I'm the senate and governor's editor here at the Cook Political Report, and we've made a major ratings change in our senate ratings, this week. We have shifted the Montana senate race that is, held by Democrat Jon Tester since two thousand six from toss-up into lean Republican. Meaning, at this point, we see Jon Tester as the underdog and his Republican opponent, former Navy SEAL, Tim Sheehy, as a slight favorite.It doesn't mean that Tester's out of it, but this race has definitely shifted over the past few weeks, and there's a couple of reasons for that. First of all, Montana is is Democrats' toughest seat to hold. If if we look at where we start, it's a fifty one forty nine Democratic senate, But with the open West Virginia seat, virtually assured
