Maricopa County, Ariz. treasurer, 2004-2006; elected as a Republican to the One
Hundred Twelfth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3,

In July, the House Ethics Committee found Schweikert in violation of 11 ethics violations for misuse of official resources. But Democratic physician Hiral Tipirneni and the DCCC may have erred by waiting until mid-September to attack Schweikert on the Phoenix airwaves. Even so, Schweikert's campaign is nearly broke and GOP outside groups have been slow to bail him out. Biden's strength in Phoenix's northern suburbs could be the last straw for Schweikert.
