RACE ANALYSIS
The Bottom Line
Updated: Sep 20, 2019
IL-10: Brad Schneider (D) - Chicago north suburbs: Lake Shore
Solid Democratic. Schneider's 2018 race was the first easy contest of his career. After unseating Republican Robert Dold in 2012, losing it to Dold in 2014 and beating Dold once again in 2016, Schneider took 66 percent against Republican Doug Bennett. This wealthy North Shore seat is now firmly Democratic. Schneider, a moderate, faces a primary against Medicare for All supporter Adam Broad, but this isn't a progressive activist district.
