State University, 2007-2014; member of the Democratic National Committee;
elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fourteenth and to the succeeding
Congress (January 3, 2015-present).

Solid Democratic. Legendary former Rep. John Dingell passed away in February, but his widow, who succeeded him in 2015 after a record 60 year stint, has always been a political force in her own right. After the midterms, Debbie Dingell was elected co-chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. She has no reelection concerns.
