RACE ANALYSIS
The Bottom Line
Updated: Dec 20, 2019
Not surprisingly, Portland is home to the safest Democratic seat in the state. Blumenauer, who turns 72 next year, can hold this seat as long as he wants. In 2020, he faces a progressive primary against Albert Lee, dean of Portland Community College's Business and Computing division. But the beloved, bicycle-riding Blumenauer took 91 percent in his 2018 primary.
