Mo., November 7, 1963; graduated from Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Mo., 1982;
B.A., University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo., 1986; member of the Missouri state
house of representatives, 1992-1994; member of the Missouri state senate,
1994-2000; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Seventh and to the eight
succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2001-present); chair, Committee on Small
Business (One Hundred Twelfth and One Hundred Thirteenth
Congresses).
