THOMPSON, Glenn, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Bellefonte, Centre
County, Pa., July 27, 1959; B.S., Pennsylvania State University, University
Park, Pa., 1981; M.Ed., Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa., 1988;
rehabilitation therapist manager; member of the Bald Eagle, Pa., school board,
1990-1995; unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the Pennsylvania state
house of representatives in 1998 and 2000; chairman, Centre County Pa.,
Republican Party, 2002-2008; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred
Eleventh and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3,
2009-present).
