NEHLS, Troy E., a Representative from Texas; born in Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wis., April 7, 1968; graduated from Dodgeland High School, Juneau, Wisc., 1986; B.A., Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va.; M.S., University of Houston-Downtown, Houston, Tex.; Wisconsin Army National Guard; United States Army Reserve; police officer; deputy constable, Fort Bend County, Tex., 1998–2002, constable, 2005–2012; deputy sheriff, Fort Bend County, Tex., 2002–2004; sheriff, Fort Bend County, Tex., 2013–2020; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Seventeenth Congress (January 3, 2021–present).
