On paper, several of Oregon's congressional districts are more competitive than Portland's liberal stereotype would suggest. Since 1996, however, Republicans simply haven't cracked the code west of the Cascades, and the state's 4-1 Democratic edge has persisted. A primary against NRCC Chair Rep. Greg Walden (OR-02) will get some attention, as will GOP efforts against Blue Dog Democrats co-chair Rep. Kurt Schrader (OR-05). But little is likely to change.

OR-01: Suzanne Bonamici (D) - Northwest corner: Portland suburbs Solid Democratic. There was a time not so long ago when this suburban Portland seat could have been described as a "swing district." Not anymore. In an early 2012 special election, hardworking Republican sports marketing businessman Rob Cornilles ran an impressive campaign, but Bonamci still beat him 54 percent to 40 percent. President Obama took 57 percent here in 2012 and Bonamici doesn't have anything to worry about.

OR-02: Greg Walden (R) - Eastern two thirds: Medford, Bend Solid Republican. Walden, the chair of the NRCC and the lone Republican in Oregon's delegation, has never had much to worry about politically in his sprawling
