- November 5, 2021: GOP Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a new map into law.
- October 29, 2021: Iowa's legislature voted to adopt the second draft of maps from the nonpartisan Legislative Services Agency with overwhelming bipartisan support.
- October 22, 2021: Republicans got good news when Iowa's nonpartisan Legislative Services Agency released a new proposal in which all four districts would have voted for Donald Trump in 2020.
