Full Bio:
Prior to becoming governor, Reynolds served two terms as Iowa’s 45th lieutenant governor and is a former state senator and county treasurer.
As lieutenant governor, Reynolds co-chaired the Iowa Partnership for Economic Progress board, which is comprised of CEOs from the state’s major industries, as well as the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council. Reynolds is a strong advocate for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education, and her passion was recognized by STEMconnector™ when she was named to their “100 Women Leaders in STEM.”
Reynolds has previously served as the chair for the National Lieutenant Governors Association and as honorary chair of Million Women Mentors – Iowa, as well as honorary chair of the Employer Volunteer Initiative in Iowa.
Reynolds received a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree in 2016 from Iowa State University. She and her husband Kevin have three daughters and eight grandchildren.
