California's top-two jungle primary headlines the seven states headed to the polls on June 7. Although Democrats cheered the new map approved in December, they're now playing just as much defense as offense. Democrats are targeting GOP Reps. David Valadao (CA-22), Mike Garcia (CA-27) and Michelle Steel (CA-45), but Republicans are going after the open Central Valley 13th CD as well as Reps. Katie Porter (CA-47) and Mike Levin (CA-49).

CA-03: OPEN (McClintock) (R) - North central: Sacramento exurbs, Lake Tahoe Likely Republican. After the citizens' redistricting commission drew this Trump +2 seat connecting Lake Tahoe area with Sacramento suburbs, GOP Rep. Tom McClintock moved to the redder 5th CD to the south. Now, Republicans are locked in a bitter fight between Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones (endorsed by McClintock) and Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, who just nabbed an endorsement from Donald Trump.
