
Louisiana's redistricting map basically ensures the state's 5-1 Republican edge in its House delegation in the coming years. However, there's no lack of drama on the Republican side, as pipeline construction businessman Vance McAllister and state Sen. Neil Riser square off in a November 16 special election runoff in the 5th CD that may (fairly or not) be a proxy fight between GOP Gov. Bobby Jindal and the stars of the hit reality series Duck Dynasty. Meanwhile, GOP Rep. Bill Cassidy's Senate run has created an open seat in the Baton Rouge area 6th CD, but the GOP field has taken shape slowly and it's possible two Republicans could face off against each other in a December 2014 runoff.
