Wyoming featured one of the most vitriolic House primaries in the country last cycle, when Hageman ousted outspoken Trump critic Rep. Liz Cheney in a landslide victory. Hageman, a former trial attorney, easily won the general election for ruby-red Wyoming’s lone congressional seat and will have no trouble winning reelection this November. Candidates have until the end of May to file to run, but so far, Hageman is unopposed in both the primary and the general.
Hageman has solid relationships with House Republican leaders. She was a staunch ally of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who had endorsed her ahead of her primary against Cheney, and Speaker Mike Johnson picked her to be one of the managers in the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
