University, Chicago, Ill., 1991-1992; police officer, Chicago, Ill., 1966-1979;
bond trader; business owner; member of the Arizona state house of
representatives, 2001-2007; member of the Arizona state senate, 2007-2009;
elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fifteenth Congress (January 3,
2017-present).
