While House races will rarely, if ever, challenge Presidential contests for the national spotlight, they are likely to take on much greater importance in 1992. Between the three R's—redistricting, retirements, and re-election woes—we now believe that there will be between 80 and 100 new faces when the 103rd Congress convenes in January 1993. By comparison, there were only 34 new members after the 1988 election and 45 after the 1990 balloting.
